Hey friends, I hope your 2022 is off to a good start. Personally, I felt like January lasted foreeeeeever – I was glad to see February roll around.
Not sure if I publically shared this yet, but Cesar and I have chosen to have a small micro wedding celebration in Mexico! With the current state of the world and some of our family members being high-risk, we chose to keep it quite small with 24 guests, but we look forward to celebrating with other loved ones as we see each other in the coming months and years.
We’re getting married on May 7th, just a little under 3 months away from now, which is wild to me. But we’re celebrating our 8 year anniversary that week so decided to have a short engagement and go ahead and seal the deal, ya know? Future Mrs. Xibille, here.
Our wedding is being hosted at an all-inclusive resort, so a lot of the details are already taken care of for us, but we do get to make decisions on the vibe/aesthetic of the ceremony and reception, which I’m most delighted by.

What descriptors come to when you look at this collage? I’m calling it “enchanted garden” with the main colors of green and gold and a ton of vibrant florals.
What’s left on the docket? My next dress fitting the first weekend in March, I still need to order Cesar’s ring, we figured out our reception menu this week, and we changed our flight to arrive one day earlier in Mexico to allow us to settle in before most of our guests arrive. Still need to figure out our first dance song (we don’t have a song!!! I don’t know how but we don’t), start writing vows, and a bunnnnch of not fun legal stuff left to do, as well. #adulting
