June Goals

We are half-way through 2019 – how did that happen?! I always say that the beginning of each year literally flies by while the second half seems to drag on a bit. Is that how you feel, too, or not?

It’s goals time, friends! Today, I’m sharing what I’m working on this month to help reach my overarching mind-body-soul goals for 2019. As a reminder, my goals are:

Mind: Create more self-confidence in myself

Body: Increase quality time with my boyfriend

Soul: Sell my own products

Mind Goal

I have been doing a lot of work on creating more self-confidence within myself. Writing down affirmations, reading law of attraction books, consistently working out, and prioritizing self-care (just got my hair foiled, got a spray tan and manicure recently) are a few ways that I have been making myself feel GOOD.

Body Goal

Cesar and I have went on a few trips recently that were so much fun. First, we celebrated our 5-year anniversary in Breckenridge and ate our way through the little mountain town. Then, we traveled to Atlanta to see his family over MDW. This was by far the most relaxing trip to Atlanta that we’ve had – we watched his niece’s dance recital on Saturday, enjoyed some BBQ, and then basically floated around in the pool and soaked up the sunshine for the rest of the long weekend. It was exactly what we wanted and NEEDED. Last weekend, we flew to Arizona to surprise one of Cesar’s best friends for his 30th birthday, and it was seriously a BLAST. We saw so many of our friends and got to catch up, joke around, make new memories – was sad to leave.

However, we did just book a trip to Austin with our friends for the end of July, and the anticipation for this trip is reaaal, y’all. Never been to Texas before! We’ll be there for around 2.5 days, so if you know any must-try’s or must-do’s, let me know. 😊

Soul Goal

In terms of selling my own products, I’m happy to report that I just got my first large payout for the freelancing work that I am doing with a consulting company that helps nonprofit’s better demonstrate their impact. It’s 10-15 hours a week, but oh my, it feels good to have some money rollin’ in while I am still searching for a full-time role. I definitely want to continue to freelance even after I get a full-time job because 1) I enjoy the work I’m doing, and 2) the supplemental income will be great for saving for a downpayment on our first home. EEEK.

I’m also still working through my self-guided online course to get certified in Adobe Creative Suite, which is helping me with my graphic design and marketing skills.

That’s what is going on with me – what are the priorities that you’re working on this month? Share in the comments below.

xx Marah Elizabeth
