December Goals

The countdown to say goodbye to 2018 is officially on, and I’ve spent the past 20 some days working on getting my head on right meantally about turning the big 3-0 in 2019. Cesar and I have been using a few guiding principles that I’m sharing today to help us navigate the end of the year more consciously in regards to our mental and physical health. Before we dive into that, let’s reflect on November’s goals.

November Goals in Review

Mind: Say this mantra every day: “Action conquers fear.”

Body: Incorporate doing 20 squats in the morning and 20 more squats in the evening.

Soul: Practice showing thanks and appreciation to the wonderful people in my life.

I’ve spent so much time mentally holding myself back throughout the years, it’s been exhausting, and I didn’t even realize how much this was impacting me until I felt stunned, like I couldn’t move forward, with some of my creative business ideas. This was a total wake up call for me. Knowing that it’s time to change, I’ve been doing some mindset work, and chose “action conquers fear” as my mantra for November. What I’ve realized is that I need to SEE mantras to remember to say them, so I’ve been writing them down in my weekly planner to help me keep it top of mind. On another note, who else finds it extremely hard to change their routines? I haven’t been fully consistent with my squats yet because I forget it’s supposed to be part of my morning and nighttime routines – another example of how if I don’t have something written down/in my face, I forget about it (why does my brain function this way?!). Lastly, I do my best throughout the course of the year to stay in touch and ensure my friends and family feel the love from me, but I wanted to do this especially in November, as it’s the month of thanks. It was so nice to go back home and see my family and a few friends to kick off the holiday season – put me in a good mental and emotional space to end 2018.

December Goals

Mind: While I am going to continue saying the mantra, “Action conquers fear,” I am also going to say and write out another mantra pertaining to money: “I love money because it is always here for me,” which is a mantra I found when reading Jen Sincero’s book, You Are a Badass at Making Money (currently listening to it on audiobook). More on that book once I finish it!

Body: Continue to work on tweaking my morning and evening routines to incorporate doing squats as part of both routines.

Soul: With 54 days left until I turn 30, I’m working hard to eat minimally processed foods, up my veggie intake, and feel GOOD, so so good – physically and emotionally – when I hit the big 3-0.

Those are my goals to round out 2018 – what are your top priorities for ending the year on an accomplished note? Share in the comments below.
