It’s just hair, right? NO, the answer is no. It’s not just hair – a person’s hair can be their signature for a lifetime, or a way that they transform their image time and time again. For example, I’ve known dozens of people who change their hairstyle before or after a major life event happens (a post-breakup new ‘do = a new life, sound familiar?!).
For those of us “blessed” with a lion’s mane of hair, I’m going to share 5 products that I’ve used over and over again and love – products that truly help make this voluminous mane of mine more manageable than without them!

1. Davines Beach Sea-Salt Spray
I use this beach spray
when I really don’t want to do much to my hair but want the relaxed, beachy style it gives to my mane. Plus, it smells AMAZING. After spraying it into my hair, I do notice that my hair has a little bit more body than when I just simply air dry it (not necessary, but I enjoy a beachy look now and again).
2. Smooth Sexy Hair Shampoo & Conditioner
I’ve been using the Sexy brand hair products for years, but I just found the Smooth Sexy hair products within the past year. What I love most about these products
is that their formulas are sulfate, gluten, paraben and salt-free. They’re also infused with coconut oil that helps fight frizz, and makes my hair super smooth, which is my go-to daily look.
3. Hask Bamboo Oil Strengthening Conditioner
This was an Ulta clearance item impulse purchase, and I am SO GLAD that I made it. I had never heard of Hask hair products before, but man oh man, this strengthening conditioner
conditions the sh** out of my hair. Seriously, I have a million good things to say about this conditioner! My hair is so thick and course, especially after I get it highlighted. In the shower, I leave this product on for a few minutes while I wash my body/shave, and once I rinse it out, my hair is super soft, I can run my fingers through my hair, and it’s way more manageable – the best feeling ever.
4. It’s a 10 Leave-in Conditioner

is my other secret weapon for taming my mane. Just a few sprays after I wash my hair, and I can easily comb my hair (it’s not so easy to do without it!). What I love most about this product is that a little goes a LONG way, so it lasts a long, long time.
5. Aussie Moist 3-Minute Miracle Hair Mask
This 3-minute miracle hair mask
is an affordable and effective way to deep conditioner your hair. I use about a half-dollar amount on my hair, and it detangles it like a dream. I haven’t used it as much lately because I fell in love with Hask’s strengthening conditioner and use it more often now than this product, but you can easily find this product at any convenience or grocery store, and it does a great job detangling and smoothing hair.
